Suncoast Center selected as Leadership St. Pete Class Project 2015

Suncoast Center, Inc. has been selected as the Leadership St. Pete Class Project for 2015. By aiming their project to one of St. Pete's at risk communities, the class will work with Suncoast Center, Inc. in the renovation of their 928 22nd Avenue South St. Pete location. The class project consists of  reconfiguring the front entrance to reduce the confusion guests experience when attempting to access the building, designing an interior that instills a sense of safety and security to guests, and expanding the waiting room to accommodate more people.  In addition, the class will transform a garage that is currently used for storage into a multi-purpose room that can be used for meetings, group sessions or gathering space for children and families. With the enhancements and added space, Suncoast Center hopes to reach 1000 more families at the location by offering more rape crisis groups, children advocacy services, child abuse prevention classes and parenting groups. The renovation is expected to be complete by May 10th, 2015.
